J. Michael Anderson

Chief Executive Officer

Michael Anderson leads and directs the Layne Water Midstream business strategy and development, overseeing the company’s growth. Prior to founding Layne Water Midstream in 2016, Michael served during the past two decades in executive leadership positions for energy, water and infrastructure companies. Michael served most recently as Chief Financial Officer at Layne Christensen, a 140-year old water and infrastructure company, until its 2018 merger with Granite Construction. Previously, Michael served as Chief Financial Officer at Southcross Energy Partners, a Master Limited Partnership engaged in the natural gas midstream business. He also previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Exterran Holdings, Inc. and Exterran Partners, L.P., a global market leader in natural gas compression and oil and gas services. Michael also served as Chief Financial Officer, later becoming Chief Executive Officer, at Azurix Corp., a global owner and operator of water and wastewater assets. Michael began his career with JPMorgan Chase as an investment banker after earning his undergraduate degree in business from Texas Tech University and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Byron Geeslin

Byron oversees Layne Water Midstream’s business and corporate development activities, including asset acquisitions, greenfield development projects, and customer relationships. Prior to founding Layne Water Midstream in 2016, he served in various Commercial, Business Development and Finance roles at Southcross Energy, EXCO Resources, FTI Consulting and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Byron received his B.B.A. in Accounting and M.S. in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Richard Crawford

Richard oversees all aspects of Layne Water Midstream’s operations. Prior to joining Layne Water Midstream, Richard served as General Manager of Centennial Resource Development where he oversaw the engineering, construction and operation of Centennial’s produced water systems in the Delaware Basin. With more than 25 years of experience working in the Permian Basin, he has also held positions at Concho and Silverback. Richard holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Byron Bevers

Byron leads the Commercial team for the company, including Layne Water Midstream’s sales team in Midland as well as land and legal operations. Prior to joining Layne Water Midstream in 2017, he served in various business development, engineering and operations roles in the water industry at Lockwood, Andrews, & Newnam, the City of Shenandoah and Bleyl & Associates. Byron earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Chad Strahan

Chad assists in Layne Water Midstream’s business development activities and oversees management of all company rights of way and land management. Prior to joining Layne Water Midstream in 2017, he served as a global financial analyst at ExxonMobil. He also previously served as an in-house Landman at Devon Energy, managing several oil and gas development areas throughout Texas and Oklahoma including the STACK and SCOOP. Chad earned his B.B.A. in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University and his M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from the University of Notre Dame.

Alex Kajdan

VICE PRESIDENT, ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION

Alex manages and oversees construction of new water infrastructure, including pipelines, pump stations, water wells, disposal wells and water storage facilities. Prior to joining Layne Water Midstream in 2017, he served as Water Conveyance Engineer for Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, focusing on the planning, design, construction and management of various water infrastructure and hydraulic related projects. He is a Texas registered professional engineer and earned a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi.
